For the food processing industry S.M.R.E. Engineering developed a water jet that uses pure water cutting technology. This cutting machine divides blocks of frozen or semi-frozen vegetables into smaller pieces, with high speed and great precision. A steel conveyor belt then spreads the pieces and moves them away from the cutting frame. Besides frozen vegetables, the S.M.R.E. water jet was successfully tested on a wide range of other food stuffs, like candy and pastry.
