S.M.R.E. Engineering is a dynamic Italian company built on a young and strongly motivated group of people. Since 1999, S.M.R.E. has specialized in the application of innovative technologies and the construction of Hi-Tech machinery and industrial production lines.
The company’s activities are organized in the following five divisions:
- Construction of automated cutting machinery: multiple tool cutting plotters and conveyors, water jets, plasma cutters
- Construction of automated welding and bonding machines for technical fabrics: with hot air, Rotosonic (ultrasonic) or Liquid Glue technology
- Construction of automated machines for the industry of awnings, blinds, sun shades and insect screens: cutting, welding and sewing machinery
- Construction of automated machinery for the industry of tension structures, shade sails, tarpaulins, structures in technical fabrics (like PVC) in general: cutting and welding machines
- Research & development, special projects: design, development and construction of innovative, hi-tech projects
More than half of the yearly budget is invested in Research & Development and the company holds numerous patents and trademarks. The force of S.M.R.E. is in fact the development and application of new, creative technological solutions. Our aim is to optimize our customers’ productivity by uniting traditional and new manufacturing technologies, by integrating mechanics, pneumatics and electronics with Hi-Tech cutting, bonding and sewing solutions.
Our customers are the focus point of what we do. S.M.R.E. has created a company culture in which the key element is understanding our costumers’ needs. S.M.R.E. machinery not only distinguishes itself because of its high quality and its revolutionary technology, but also because it is tailor-made according to the specific requirements of our customers. S.M.R.E. Engineering specializes in finding solutions for specific demands from manufacturers operating in the industries that we specialize in.
A large part of our yearly turnover comes from companies that already work with our machinery and purchase a second or even a third machine. This fact gives us the confidence that our machines perform very well and do what they were intended to do: simplify the job while optimizing production in terms of quality, quantity, and cost.

S.M.R.E. machines are 100% designed, developed, constructed and tested in our plant in Italy.
