More than 150 linear welding systems were supplied to awning and blind manufacturers worldwide and more than 14.000.000 linear meters of acrylic and polyester awnings were glued with our systems, making the S.M.R.E. machines an absolute benchmark in linear hot air welding and gluing for the production of blinds and awnings.

S.M.R.E. Engineering is a true pioneer in the industry of retractable insect screens. The company was the first – and so far only – in the world to develop a complete system for the automated production of retractable insect screens, ready for installation.

The S.M.R.E. machines caused a revolution in the traditional production process for retractable insect screens. One single machine carries out all the subsequent steps in the production cycle. The ready-to-fit screen, perfectly cut and welded, rolled up on the aluminum bar and even inserted in the box with the lower hand grip attached, is ready in 2 minutes and 48 seconds and only 1 operator is needed. The result is a great reduction of discards, an enormous increase in production volumes, saving of time, manpower and money.
