The conveyor belt on the SM-355-TA is made of extremely strong multiple-layer industrial fabric with PVC coating, the same indestructible belt that we install on our SM-320-TA conveyor plotters. When used correctly, this belt can handle years and years of intensive cutting without needing to be replaced, ever. The S.M.R.E. belt has such high resistance that it goes well beyond comparison with conveyor belts installed on machines made by other manufacturers. The difference is not only its duration, but also its reliability and the quality of the cut. Belts installed by other manufacturers will lose their shape after a few months of intensive cutting, severely compromising the precision of the cut. The multiple layers of the S.M.R.E. conveyor belt guarantee an extremely long lifetime and great cutting precision. Even belts that are intensively used look like new, even after years of intensive, heavy duty cutting.
The surface of the belt is perforated in a special configuration so that the efficiency of the vacuum turbine is optimized. The processed fabrics are tightly secured to the belt and will not move during the cutting cycle, so that the precision of the cut is guaranteed, even on great lengths.
SM-355-TA has a very limited footprint (85 x 135 cm) but thanks to the conveyor belt it can handle infinite cutting lengths. To save space, the vacuum turbine is installed underneath the machine.
The cutting tool installed on the SM-355-TA is a high performance oscillating knife, the same that is installed on other heavy duty S.M.R.E. cutting machines. The oscillating knife guarantees a fast and precise cut of valances in technical fabrics like acrylic, polyester and PVC.
S.M.R.E. developed an easy to use software with preset valance shapes, that make the programming of the machine very easy, and thus greatly reduces the chance of human error.
Compared of the traditional production process SM-355-TA reduces production time to less than a quarter. Since the cutting is done fully automatic and continuously, the precision is greatly enhanced, and the end product is a perfectly cut valance.
