SM-370-TA Multiple tool automated flat bed cutting plotter for technical fabrics
SM-370-TAis a high performance industrial cutting plotter with a modular structure. The main features of this machine are its great speed, its high precision, its user-friendliness and its versatility.
Multiple tools and accessories can be installed simultaneously on the tool bridge so that the operator always has the right tools at hand for whatever fabrics are to be processed. Among the installable tools are a laser cutter (up to 400W), rotary blades, drag knives, a crush cut knife, an oscillating blade, motorized rotary blades for heavy duty industrial fabrics, an ultrasonic cutting blade, a pen marker and a laser pointer. A maximum of 6 tools can be installed on the bridge, in various combinations.
The multiple tool solution meets the increasing need of manufacturers to process fabrics with (very) different characteristics on one single machine. The simultaneous installation of various cutting and marking tools makes switching from light weight fabrics to heavy industrial textiles fast and simple.
Besides the multiple cutting and marking tools, SM-370-TA can install an automatic grip-and-pull system that pulls the fabric off of the roll. In one single go the fabric is square cut to size and then spread on the work top. Now, the preset tool on the tool bridge starts cutting out the designed patterns. A powerful vacuum system plus an optional system of additional pressing bars (for length and width cuts) secure the fabric to the work top, guaranteeing high precision cuts even with hard to handle “breathing” fabrics like Screen or acrylic, or natural fabrics like silk and cotton. Further installable accessories include a linear laser pointer that helps the operator check whether the fabric is perfectly aligned on the table top, scanning and projection systems, marking tools with visible or invisible ink, and a laser pointer that enables the operator to choose the dynamic zero-point.
The Easy Works Xtreme CAD/CAM software dedicated to this machine makes operating the SM-370-TA easy and very efficient. In addition to the Easy Works program the operator can select a great number of working options, like an automatic nesting program that fits the various shapes on the work top, optimizes the cutting sequence and greatly reduces discards. The machine also features a powerful calculation module called the split box that splits very large shapes into smaller “workable” pieces. The S.M.R.E. software is compatible with all current CAD/CAM programs available on the market and can import and manage files written in DXF and EPS formats.

The dynamic cutting frame, or zero-point - the point where the machine starts to cut - can be chosen by the operator, manually or on the computer, thus enabling the machine to process not only fabric of the roll, but discard sheets as well.
