SM-420-TA Manually operated orthogonal cutting system with ultrasonic and electric rotating cutting tools
The SM-420-TA was designed to cut a wide range of technical fabrics and industrial textiles with ultrasonic technology or with a high performance electric rotary cutter with pentagonal blade. The fabric roll is positioned on a cradle at the head of the table and is manually fed into the machine by the operator. A manually operated pneumatic grip-and-pull system spreads the fabric on the table top, while a measuring bar digitally indicates the length of the fabric with great precision. Once the fabric is spread on the table, a double pneumatic pressing bar installed at the head of the table comes down on the fabric, keeping it securely fixed to the table surface. At the push of a button, an orthogonal ultrasonic cutter or the electric rotary cutting blade automatically square cuts the fabric off of the roll. Once the fabric has been cut off the roll, the sheet can be turned to square cut the other sides.
SM-420-TA is particularly suitable for cutting synthetic fabrics like polyester, acrylic, PVC, Screen, Soltis or mesh. Although it can be used in numerous production sectors, SM-420-TA is most widely used for the production of awnings and blinds. The ultrasonic cutting tool is ideal for cutting acrylics and polyesters, because the heat generated by the ultrasonic vibrations will automatically sear the edge of the fabric, thus preventing it from fraying. The electric cutter is the perfect tool for fast and precise mechanical square cuts on PVC or Soltis. SM-420-TA is an ideal solution for the square cutting of sheets that are welded, glued or sewn together.
